History: Ness was born in the town of Onett, in the country of Eagleland, he is a seemingly normal boy until the night of a very important meteor shower. His curiosity peaked, Ness inspects the meteor with his next-door neighbor Pokey Minch, and what they find is truly a shock. A beetle from the future, by the name of Buzz Buzz, informs young Ness that he is to go on a journey with two other boys and a girl to destroy an evil force known as Giygas. Giygas aims to destroy all of reality as they know it in the future, the only way to stop this evil force is to become one with the very earth itself. Ness travels across Eagleland, joining together with a young psychic girl, Paula, a genius, Jeff, and a Prince from a distant land, Poo. On the way he stops at eight important sanctuary locations, absorbing their psychic energies in order to unite his powers with the Earth's. At each Sanctuary location, he records fragments of a melody on a Sound Stone that he received from Buzz Buzz. Along with these melodies, he has brief glimpses of specific things from his past--being held by his father as a child, a small puppy and so on. It is revealed eventually, through gathering the eight fragments of the melody, that Ness was born with his psychokinetic powers, and they manifested when he was but an infant. From Giant Step in Onett, to the Lilliput Steps in Peaceful Rest Valley near Twoson, to the Milky Well in Grapefruit Falls in Saturn Valley, the Rainy Circle found in Winters, Magnet Hill at the edge of the city of Fourside, the Pink Cloud from Dalaam, the Lumine Hole, and finally the final Sanctuary location; the Fire Spring... the eight melodies are gathered, and Ness must face one final challenge before their confrontation with Giygas…  |
